Hidden Acres Soap Co started when my husband said to me "what are you going to do with 100 bars of soap?"

I started making my own soap when I experienced a period of dry, itchy skin a few years ago. Hours of research and my natural curiousity led to the beginning of soapmaking in my kitchen. My husband is the cook in our family and he started with some minor whining each evening as he moved around my supplies to cook our dinner. Before long I was absolutely hooked on trying practically every oil and butter on the market. And the fragrances... I just had to try them all! So much care and attention went into each small batch - I was in love! Still am!!!!

I was sharing my babies with friends and family with such delightful positive feedback and my own skin's response to the naturally luxurious ingredients was amazing. After literally accumulating 100 or so bars of soap with plans to make more - my hubby gave me the push to start selling. First he moved me out of the kitchen. He turned half our basement into a fabulous soapers dream (he's such a great guy)! He encouraged me to begin with coworkers. My first sales were fast and furious.

Etsy seemed to be the next logical step. I already had a shop where I was selling my photographs and had met some amazing people. Hence - the beginning of Hidden Acres Soap. My husband is my cheerleader. My nose is my inspiration.

My mission is to make a product with healthy, quality ingredients that is great for your body and smells amazing. Being a registered nurse, I do have a scientific side but I also get to indulge my artistic half. Combining perfected recipes with pretty presentation is a dream come true. I love what I'm doing!

I just LOVE scents! So this is how my shop works: I have a line of soaps that will always be available - these are the "constants". So if you find that if you love one of the "constants" you will be able to keep it in your soap stock. Every month I will be adding batches of new scents that may or may not become constants. This way I get to feed my fragrance addiction and have fun. I'm hoping this process will delight those that just fall in love with a scent and use it over and over as well as those that like me - want to always try something new.I welcome any feedback and suggestions about this process and feel free to request your favorite scent to become a "constant"!
